We are looking for a maintenance technician to join our team in IT-Caraffa di Catanzaro. As a maintenance technician, you will work together with another technician executing scheduled and unscheduled service in the wind farms.
How to contribute to our vision…
The candidate will perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in wind-turbine generators. You should have a desire to learn about electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics as you will be responsible of the general maintenance of the turbines.
Responsibilities
  • Performs mainly pre-defined, technical tasks (for example, basic commissioning of products and systems, integration of components to a system, basic engineering, maintenance jobs) and work packages on-site and remotely.
  • Supports customer remotely and onsite, and provides 2nd and 3rd level user support in case of arising issues.
  • Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.
  • Supports in generating sales leads for pre-defined service offers and contributes to planning activities.
  • Adheres to defined processes and applicable regulations.
  • Implements ordinary and extraordinary maintenance actions on the electrical and electronic parts of the turbine.
  • Analyzes and diagnoses faults in the electronic and electrical systems, using specific

schemes and / or automated control systems as support (video screens from which check the performance of the machinery)

  • Identifying the fault, carries out the repair and / or replacement of parts, modules or tools.

The ideal candidate holds a high school degree with focus on Mechanics or Electrical or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with 3 years of practical work experience in the field. Having this experience in the wind or a heavy regulated industry is considered a plus.
The role is physically demanding and requires working in high altitudes and confined spaces. Driving license and owning a vehicle is a requirement and you should be flexible and prepared to travel as our wind farms are spread over a large geographical area.
Most importantly, you challenge yourself and your colleagues to achieve the best results together, as part of a team. You have a high professional competency, and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills, and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
